My name is Robyn Steward. Thank you for visiting my website, Here is some information about what I do.

I teach people about autism in schools and services and at conferences.

I am Autistic and for over 15 years, I have been travelling the world helping people like teachers, adult support workers and social workers understand more about Autism. I have also worked with parent groups, I often get asked to talk to whole school assemblies about autism. Sometimes I train teachers after school. I also do speeches and workshops at conferences . I do training on a wide range of topics like periods , safety , what is autism , communication, emotions and strategies, `i try to make all my talks/workshops fun , engaging and practical.

I do research to understand how we are all different .

Everyone is different. I like to find out about how other Autistic people experience the world, and how this is different or the same as non Autistic people. I work with UCL (University college london) and the Wellcome Trust.

I make podcasts .

I have a BBC Podcast with fellow Autistic presenter Jamie Knight . Our podcast is called` 1800 seconds on Autism, and can be found on BBC sounds. I am also host of The Autism journal podcast.


I write books.

I have written 2 books they are called “The Independent Woman’s Handbook for super safe living on the Autistic Spectrum” ( this book can help guys too) . My 2nd book is called “ The Autism Friendly Guide to Periods”. I have also been featured in many other books

I Make music.

I play the Trumpet through guitar effect pedals. I am a Heart N Soul artist and I put on inclusive conscious gigs called Robyn’s Rocket at a place called Cafe OTO in london.

I Have won awards.

In 2015 I was joint awardee of the National Autistic Societies professional award for outstanding achievement by an individual on the Autism Spectrum for my work raising awareness around abuse experienced by Autistic people, and in 2018 I was listed on the power100 list of most influential disabled people in the UK.

I am a National Autistic Society (NAS) Ambassador.
